Deep blue sea as far as the eye can see, its surface sparkling in the sun, light breeze and rays of sunshine caressing your skin, that feeling of perfect peace and calm… Become a sailor and an explorer, even if just for one day, sail around Krk island and enrich your holiday with a unique experience you will want to repeat over and over again. Here’s how and why:
The allure of sailing
All aboard! Gather your favourite people in a boat and spend a day (or more) enjoying the beautiful Adriatic Sea and its magnificent seaside landscapes, creating lasting memories together. Boating allows you to have an exciting adventure, discover places you might not get a chance to see otherwise, disconnect for some time from the ‘real’ world and feel inspired all the while.
Extra fun on a sailing trip
There is so much more to boating than just cruising along the coast! It gives you the chance to go for a swim on a secluded beach with no one around, go snorkelling or diving to explore the stunning underwater world, visit natural attractions as you go along. It’s a day you can fill with a number of exciting activities, yet also have all the time in the world to take pleasure in sunbathing on the deck fully relaxed.
What to see
190 km to explore! That’s the length of the indented coastline of Krk. With numerous picturesque coves with lush vegetation, untouched beaches, steep cliffs and rocks, the island offers you diverse landscape within easy reach. In addition, the equally stunning Cres island is quite near, extending thus your area of discovery.
When you rent a boat, it’s up to you to decide which route to take, places to visit, experiences to have. Still, you can also take a private boat tour with a predetermined route from Malinska to Beli on Cres, organized by the Malin Hotel. The boat sets sail in the hotel’s marina towards Glavotok. Before reaching Cres, two stops are planned to be made – the first one in the lovely Čavlina Bay, the second one near Cape Manganel with a lighthouse. The journey then continues to Beli, one of the most popular and oldest places on Cres, known for its eco centre where you can see the griffon vulture.
The trip is organized in such a way that it allows you to do sightseeing, grab a nice lunch in a local restaurant, swim and sunbathe only to return to Malinska just in time to admire the beautiful sunset. If you manage to snap a perfect photo (and there will be plenty of opportunity for that on your sailing trip), take part in a photo contest, open till September 15, and possibly win a free stay at the Malin Hotel.
Priceless experience… at an acceptable price
The price of boat rental at the Malin Hotel varies depending on the season. In other words, depends on the date of your stay and may include a skipper’s fee if you need it. Price information is available at Hotel Malin.
Boat & Bike experience – perfect combination
When you reach the beautiful island of Cres by boat, we suggest exploring the island by bike, which you can also rent at the Hotel Malin. The combination of boat rides and cycling adventures in the picturesque landscapes of Cres is an ideal summer combination.
A taste of the sailing paradise
In the land of more than a thousand islands, taking a sailing trip is the best way to get to know the remarkably diverse coast. So, rent a boat at the Malin Hotel and explore the beauty of Krk and Kvarner Bay.
